Playwriting competition by Lourdes College Drama Society

The Lourdes College Drama Society is sponsoring a one-act playwriting competition. Cash awards of $250 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third place will be presented, and the winning plays will be considered for production at Lourdes College in the spring semester.

The competition is open to the public. Submissions are restricted to original dramatic works that have not been previously published or produced outside of an academic environment. Scripts will be judged on concept, dramatic action, characterization and dialogue. All entries must be postmarked no later than November 2. Winners will be announced and notified on Sunday, December 6.
