As an update to a post that was written back in May Larry "Matthew" Bartow was charged with theft after being accused of taking $2,330 from the campaign committee of Toledo Municipal Judge Robert Christiansen. He also faces another theft charge related to automated calls that were supposed to be done for Dave Schulz prior to the primary. That charge was filed in July and the date for that trial is also scheduled for August 7th. Other accusations have been made by local candidates in relation to work that they paid Bartow to perform but there have not been any additional charges filed.
It appears Mr. Bartow or someone who was using his name has commented here, in the interest of fairness I will point out that he is innocent until proven guilty. No word yet if Dave Schulz or anyone from the Judge Christiansen campaign will be called to testify.
Update: 10/10/06:
I know several of you have also been following the Larry Bartow case which was scheduled for trial this morning.
Another continuance for both charges was granted until Thursday, October 12th at 8:30 a.m.

hearing on Thursday, August 24, 2006, at 8:30a.m.
