Council candidate vows to campaign for all party nominees chosen by Democratic voters, releases sample ballot
Toledo, OH – Responding to criticism from Lucas County Democratic Party bosses that his presence on the November ballot could hurt the full Democratic slate, Toledo City Council candidate Joe McNamara pledged today to campaign for all of the party’s nominees chosen by primary voters and to distribute a sample ballot urging general election voters to do the same.
“It’s crucial that we elect Ted Strickland, Sherrod Brown, Richard Cordray, and the entire Democratic Team to state and county office this year,” said McNamara. “I agree with party leaders that we can’t allow one local race to become a distraction from that goal.”
McNamara’s Democratic sample ballot will be distributed door-to-door by campaign volunteers and mailed to some absentee ballot voters.
Joe McNamara is the Secretary of the Lucas County Young Democrats. Keith Wilkowski, former chairman of the Lucas County Democratic Party, serves as McNamara’s campaign chairman.

They're running scared that Lourdes is going down. If she goes, Carty has only his 4 Republicans and Sobczak.

Responding to criticism? I don't remember any criticism from people at the party that he's bringing down the rest of the ticket - he just wanted to send his own sample ballot because he's scared that he'll lose when Democratic voters get the real sample ballots with Santiago's name on them.
Oh I've heard it. They're trying to make an issue out of his parents being republicans too. not sure which of those is the more desperate. you gotta love it when carty's crew attacks someone for "not being a real Democrat." LOL
I think the issue is that more voters rember how Lourdes got there, via the back door.
And the Mafi..., err, party is running scared that they will lose that seat to someone who is not beholding to them for ther victory.
